It’s an old Sinatra standard, that often ended w Ol’ Blue Eyes advising his companion- to -be to “pack a small bag”. By contrast, Tech Senior Forward Jordan Usher told the press corps on Saturday that he was encouraging his teammates to pack for a week-long trip to Brooklyn for the ACC tournament. Usher took it a little further, saying he was personally going to monitor the boarding and would stop any Tech player who packed only a small bag. His expectations are high.

As always, his exuberance and energy are welcome around rhe Tech basketball program. Coach Josh Pastner and staff hope that Usher is in target with his prediction, as well as his shooting. In fact, those two factors may be closely related. Time will tell. The Yellow Jackets take on Louisville Tuesday night in the first round.
